Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Sets June 2026 Release Date

Reports confirmed that Warner Bros. and DC Studios have set a June 26, 2026 release date for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. It will also be available in IMAX and other premium screen formats.

Cruella director Craig Gillespie is set to helm the film from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira. It is also going to be the second DCU theatrical movie.

The film will be adapted from the infamous 2022 comic storyline of the same name.

The story "takes Supergirl away from Earth as she travels through the cosmos with her trusty canine, Krypto the Superdog, in order to escape a life stuck perpetually under the shadow of her cousin, Superman. She encounters an alien girl named Ruthye, who is bent on revenge for the death of her father, and recruits Supergirl to help her."

There is no filming date set yet for the movie, but previous reports have claimed that DC Studios is targeting to begin production once James Gunn's Superman wraps.

Fans should look forward to more news and updates about the DCU film soon, especially on the casting front which will likely occur in the months closer to its filming date.
