James Gunn Finally Reveals David Corenswet's Superman Suit

The DC Studios co-CEO just broke the internet by unveiling our very first look at David Corenswet's Superman costume. Taking to his social media pages, the director hyped fans up and told them to "Get ready" for the Man of Steel's reemergence.

The image features Clark Kent suiting up, ready to save Metropolis while a mysterious neon-colored beam is seen blasting in the background.

The release of the image, which also confirms that Superman will retain its July 2025 release window came out of the blue but it's certainly a welcome surprise, especially for the DC diehards who've been eagerly anticipating the reveal.

As of writing, the post has already garnered an impressive 400,000 likes and counting on Gunn's Instagram page an hour after he dropped the image which doesn't come as a shock, really.

The new suit seems to draw massive inspiration from the Man of Steel's modern look while incorporating pieces from his classic attire, including his red trunks which have been a staple in his ensemble since his first live-action outing.

Overall though, it looks like Gunn went the New 52 route, giving the actor arguably Superman's most contested suit to date. While that particular look garnered mixed reactions from fans when it debuted over a decade ago, we think it translates perfectly in live-action.
