Summer Time Rendering is adapted from the shonen manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Tanaka Yasuki. It was serialized under Shonen Jump+, Shueisha's online platform for manga, from October 2017 to February 2021. OLM is handling the anime adaptation.
Summer Time Rendering follows the story of Ajiro Shinpei, who became an orphan at an early age. Living in an island town, he grew up with the Kofune family.
Eventually, Shinpei moved away but came back to his hometown two years later — to attend the funeral of his foster sister, Ushio, who drowned after trying to save someone. However, it seems like she was actually murdered. Furthermore, there seem to be numerous mysteries surrounding the island, which Shinpei has yet to discover.
The main Japanese voice cast includes Hanae Natsuki as Ajiro Shinpei, Nagase Anna as Kofune Ushio, and Shirasu Saho as Kofune Mio. Watanabe Ayumu is directing the series.
Summer Time Rendering Episode 1 Release Date
Episode 1 of Summer Time Rendering will be out on Thursday, April 14, 2022. The episode will be officially out in Japan on Friday, April 15.
