STRAY KIDS is ruling over the K-pop music scene with its newest album, Maxident.

The idol group's Maxident became its 10th album, the seventh as a Korean EP. It came seven months after the release of the EP, Oddinary.

Over a month since it came out, Maxident led STRAY KIDS to savor a new milestone.

STRAY KIDS Becomes 3 Million Seller With Maxident

JYP Entertainment confirmed on Thursday, as reported by The Korea Times, that STRAY KIDS sold 3 million copies of its latest album. It immediately became the group's best-selling album since its debut.

The agency quoted the data it obtained from Circle Chart, confirming that the boy group followed in BTS' footsteps in surpassing the three-million mark. With that, it became the second K-pop act in history to hit the number.

The milestone was not surprising, though, as the album immediately surpassed 1.3 million sales in just one day upon its release.

On the other hand, Maxident also made STRAY KIDS the second-fastest artist to reach the 2 million mark in Hanteo and the second-highest first-week sales.

Last month, Billboard shared a preview of its Billboard 200 and showed the idol recording a total of 117,000 equivalent album units in the US, becoming the second K-pop group to record more than one No. 1 on the chart following BTS.

It previously reached the goal with the EP, Oddinary.

STRAY KIDS Make It To Billboard's World Albums Chart

Amid the feat it enjoys, STRAY KIDS found itself in the middle of a victorious stint again as Billboard published its World Albums chart for this week.

STRAY KIDS' Maxident remains in the No. 3 position for five consecutive weeks. It also spent five weeks on Billboard 200, making the boy group the fourth male idol group in history to chart multiple albums for five weeks on Billboard's history.

BTS, NCT 127, LE SSERAFIM, ENHYPEN, TWICE, and (G)I-DLE also appeared on the list.
