ATEEZ members have been pouring everything they have to help others, with Hongjoong as the latest member to take a massive move.

After its debut in 2018, ATEEZ spends its time performing in front of its fans and giving them the best music. Two years later, its members started dedicating themselves to philanthropic works.

Most recently, Hongjoong donated a whopping amount to World Vision and offered a surprise to their fans.

ATEEZ Hongjoong Donates To World Vision

Korea JoongAng Daily confirmed on Thursday that the K-pop idol made a $7,500 (10 million KRW) donation to World Vision. Hongjoong did so ahead of the anniversary of ATEEZ's fanclub, Atiny.

The international relief and development nongovernmental organization revealed that it received the amount from the idol this week and that it was sent under ATEEZ's fanclub to mark its founding date of it.

Hongjoong's donation will be spent to support World Vision's Dreaming Children project.

"I am very happy to deliver the donation in the name of our fans to celebrate the founding anniversary of Anity. It is more meaningful because I can help children who are dreaming of music," Hongjoong said to local media, expressing how much he wanted to extend his helping hand.

Fans immediately showered him with praise for being a good influence to everyone. But it was not actually the first time he and his group helped people in need.

ATEEZ's Philanthropic Works

Before Hongjoong donated to World Vision, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association revealed that ATEEZ donated cash to support and help the victims and families of the Itaewon tragedy. The crowd rush happened on October 29, becoming the deadliest disaster in the country after claiming the lives of 156 people.

ATEEZ reportedly handed $72,219, or 100 million KRW to it after gaining the amount from its previous concert.

"The ATEEZ members are deeply mourning this accident. They decided to make this donation out of the desire to be even the slightest bit of help to the bereaved families of the victims, as well as those who were injured," the group's agency, KQ Entertainment, said.

The boy group is also known for its affiliation with Star Bookstore, Happy Bean, Polished Man, and Identity 2021.
