Producer Shawn Levy answers some burning questions about the much-anticipated Stranger Things Season 5. Aside from the assumptions that Eddie (Joseph Quinn) will return, he also gives a little idea about the final season's plot and production.

Eddie has become an instant fan favorite after he made everyone fall in love with his eccentric but lovable character in Stranger Things Season 4. But just like any beloved supporting character, he has met his demise in the fourth season finale, which has become a trend in the series. So, will there be a chance for him to return to Stranger Things Season 5?

Will Eddie Return in Stranger Things Season 5?

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Levy talked about the fans' clamor for Eddie's return in the final season.

Sadly, he has a straight answer: their wish is "highly unlikely."

"[Laughs] Oh boy, a lot of people - a lot of people - can't even handle the thought of a Season 5 without some excuse for Eddie's presence," he said. "Highly unlikely. Highly unlikely. But we hear you, world. We know. You're obsessed with Eddie. So were we."

Fans have already suggested several storylines on how Eddie can make his way back to Stranger Things Season 5.

According to ScreenRant, suggestions vary from being a figment of Dustin's (Gaten Matarazzo) imagination to transforming into Vecna's (Jamie Campbell Bower) right-hand man.

However, like fans, Levy said they were also obsessed with Eddie. So, did it mean they were leaving the doors open for his return, or he would stay dead?

Little Details about Stranger Things Season 5

Meanwhile, in a different interview with E! News, Levy gave little details about the upcoming Stranger Things Season 5.

He revealed the final season would be "more Hawkins-centric," probably continuing where the fourth season left off.

For starters, the Season 4 final saw Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Hopper (David Harbour), and Joyce (Winona Ryder) return to Hawkins with their loved ones.

Aside from the plot details, fans also want to know when Stranger Things Season 5 will finally be out.

Though Levy remained mum about it, he just hinted that it wouldn't "gonna be smaller."

"Our ambitions remain pretty high," he continued. "The way the audience has grown along with the cinematic scope of the show, I don't expect that we're going to mess with that approach going into season five."
