Stranger Things Season 4 Drops the First Eight Minutes of Episode 1

When the whole cast and crew said to expect a horror movie vibe for the show, Stranger Things Season 4 will definitely not disappoint and this is exactly proven as they dropped the clip of the first eight minutes of Episode 1, taking everyone into a throwback to where Eleven originally came from.

The first eight minutes of Episode 1 of Stranger Things Season 4 has been released exactly one week before Volume 1 arrives on the streaming platform and it gives everyone nothing but excitement as it seems like a trip down memory lane where Dr. Martin Brenner was shown to work with his gifted children at Hawkins National Laboratories back in 1970.

The montage starts with a newspaper boy going through the suburbs their dailies and in one house, Dr. Martin Brenner is shown to answer the crossword puzzle wholeheartedly and even with a timer, presumably part of his daily routine before going to work. The date is revealed and it is September 8, 1970.

At Hawkins National Laboratories, children who all wear hospital gowns are playing in a room. They are all, presumably, the subjects of the same research where Eleven came from. Dr. Brenner comes in and sits beside a kid asking “How are you feeling today?” before proceeding whether the child is ready for more lessons. The kid answers yes through a toy.

The child is later revealed to be Ten, as indicated on the marking on the wrist, and they pass through the room of Eleven. Ten trains with Dr. Brenner through drawings. They take the training up the notch when Dr. Brenner asks Ten to look for someone. Ten says something is wrong and everything goes through a scene like it is straight from a horror movie.

Ten says Six and Dr. Ellis is dead when the door flies towards Dr. Brenner. Knocked out, Dr. Brenner wakes up to see Ten dead on the floor. He goes outside only to see more dead bodies, both the staff and the children. However, only one kid remains, with blood all over – it’s Eleven.

Stranger Things Season 4 has been teased to have a horror movie vibe this season which will be divided into two with Volume 1 and 2. The first part will be dealing with events six months after what happened in Season 3 where the Hawkins gang fought the Mind Flayer at the Starcourt Mall and Jim Hopper had to sacrifice himself for the safety of his adoptive daughter, Eleven, and the others.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 will premiere on May 27, 2022, and Volume 2 will be out of July 1.
