Probably one of the best things to ever come out of 2016 was Stranger Things, and a lot of fans have been waiting for the release of the second season this year. Netflix has actually just announced the release date of the show, and we got a new poster to come along with the reveal.

If you notice, Will Byers is actually part of the ensemble now, and I can't wait to see how the group's dynamic changes with him onboard. The only time we really saw him with the group was in the first episode, then the entire season one just had everyone trying to rescue Will from the Upside-Down.

Despite the obvious nostalgia factor, I think Stranger Things soars because of solid storytelling and interesting characters (except Nancy. Ugh.) I'm not even a horror buff myself, but I was hooked from the beginning to end of each episode. Hopefully the Duffer Bros have something solid to deliver for every season of the show they plan to air.

The next season promises to deliver more "strange things" and we'll also be getting some new characters in the form of Will's mom's boyfriend Bob (Sean Astin), and brother-and-sister pair Billy (Dacre Montgomery) and Max (Sadie Sink). We also know that Eleven is coming back, but the mystery is when.

Stranger Things season 2 airs on Netflix Oct. 27.
