Stranger Things: Joseph Quinn Performs 'Master of Puppets' with Metallica at Lollapalooza

One of the most iconic scenes in Stranger Things (across all seasons) was Eddie Munson's epic guitar scene in the Upside Down as he tries to distract the Demobats from his friends. It was a scene that Joseph Quinn had prepared for and it certainly paid off. The former Game of Thrones actor has just met Metallica and amazingly, they let him perform Master of Puppets with him. In fact, the musicians were so impressed with his performance that they invited him to join the band!

The official Netflix Twitter account has shared a new video showing Joseph Quinn's meeting with Metallica, who had invited him to jam with them backstage at Lollapalooza. First, we get to see the Stranger Things star happily chatting with the band as frontman James Hetfield admits he and his children are big fans of the show.

Joseph Quinn then thanks the group for letting them use Master of Puppets and is promptly praised by Hetfield for doing the song justice. That's when drummer Lars Ulrich asks Quinn if he wants to jam with the band.

The jamming session takes place backstage in Metallica's tuning room and the group is loving Joseph Quinn's performance. After the jam, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett declares, "You're hired!" Ulrich also announces that Metallica will now be a five-man band.

We're loving the jam session and it would have been cooler to see Quinn performing Master of Puppets at Metallica's Lollapalooza set. In the meantime, it's great to know that the group loves Stranger Things just as much as we do and were more than happy to meet one of the stars.

All nine episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 are now streaming on Netflix. Stranger Things Season 5 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
