Metallica Pays Tribute to Eddie Munson in Epic Master of Puppets TikTok Duet

Metallica is gaining new fans, thanks to the epic Stranger Things Season 4 scene where their song Master of Puppets is used in the fight against the Demobats. Not surprisingly, the heavy metal band is grateful to the Netflix series and decided to pay tribute to Eddie Munson in an epic TikTok duet video!

The video was originally posted on Metallica's TikTok account and it features the band members wearing Hellfire Club t-shirts at the studio. It didn't take long before the official Netflix Twitter account decided to share it as well, much to the delight of new fans on the social media platform.

It's great to see that Metallica is embracing all the hype that comes with Stranger Things and we're loving how the members are welcoming new fans as well. With that in mind, it looks like more people will start listening to the band after discovering their early works.

The band has made it clear that gatekeeping is not allowed when it comes to Metallica. When older fans lashed out at those who just discovered the group on a TikTok post, Metallica left a comment dissing the unwelcome behaviour (via Metal Hammer).

"FYI - EVERYONE is welcome in the Metallica Family. Whether you’ve been a fan for 40 hours or 40 years, we all share a bond through music," the comment read. "All of you started at ground zero at one point in time."

Although Metallica themselves were not directly involved with Eddie Munson's guitar scene in Stranger Things Season 4, there was a strong familial connection to the band. It has been confirmed that bassist Rob Trujillo's son Tye Trujillo recorded the guitar tracks for the sequence.

All nine episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 are now streaming on Netflix. The fifth season will reportedly premiere in 2024.
