Stranger Things’ David Harbour Screen Testing For Deadpool 2’s Cable


It looks like James Bond's Pierce Brosnan isn't the only one with the chances of playing Cable in Deadpool 2.

As the Deadpool 2 writers continue work on the raunchy superhero film's script, the production team continues with the film's casting and it looks like a few names have been added on to the prospective Cable Hollywood candidates.

According to a report by The Wrap, Stranger Things grumpy but gold-hearted police chief star David Harbour is currently being considered for the part. Sources have told the publication that Fox has been screen-testing the actor for the role.

Collider, another reputable source of Hollywood information has also confirmed Harbour being eyed for the role, saying that the actor's screen test had been done alongside Ryan Reynolds. Sources have also revealed that 8 Mile star Michael Shannon had once been in the running, however Fox had to cross the actor and musician off the list due to issues with his schedule.

If Harbor lands the role, the Stranger Things star would be definitely make a good cable, being taller than Reynold's Deadpool and having a decent physique. Let's cross our fingers and wait and see.
