Stranger Things became a hit when it released on Netflix last year, reeling in a wide fanbase that appreciated the science fiction's ode-to-the-80's atmosphere and its engaging characters. Though most of its cast are young and new to the Hollywood scene, the child stars did pretty well in the first season of Stranger Things and now it looks like one of the boys in the show's Dungeons and Dragons geek squad want to try their hand at superhero duty.
Yesterday, Caleb McLaughlin, the child actor who plays the part of Lucas in Stranger Things just posted a picture of himself next to a photo of a maskless Miles Morales, asking "I wonder, would you guys watch it?"
McLaughlin is roughly around the same age as Miles in the comics which is somewhere between 13 and 16 depending on the writer and the series. Given a little training to add some muscle to McLaughlin's lanky frame, the young Stranger Things star could make a good Black Hispanic Spider-Man. However, given the fact that Marvel's been rebooting the Spider-Man franchise with Tom Holland as its Peter Parker, it's unlikely that we'll be getting a Miles Morales live-action anytime soon.
Holland returns as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 7, 2017.
