Stranger Things Actor Reveals Why Erica Is The True Star Of Season 3

If you liked Lucas Sinclair's little sister in the second season of Stranger Things, there's a good chance you'll love her even more in the new season. Erica Sinclair is back and she has more awesome moments where she completely steals the scene from everybody else. Interestingly, the actress who plays Erica isn't surprised at all because she knows her character is the true star of Stranger Things 3.

Priah Ferguson recently spoke with Refinery 29 about Stranger Things Season 3 where she admitted that she shares a lot of things with her character.

"I think Erica is cool because she is outgoing, kind of like me, and she says what people think," Ferguson said. In addition to that, she admitted that Erica's smarts are finally revealed in Season 3.

"I always knew Erica was kind of smart. But when I realized she was a math whiz was when she was schooling [Dustin] about how long it would take them to get back home [from the Russian facility]," Ferguson shared.

That's a jaw-dropping moment for Dustin Henderson when he realizes that Erica is capable of answering complicated math questions in her head. So when he declares Erica is a nerd, Ferguson agrees. After all, she admits she's a nerd herself.

"I'm a nerd. I have a little nerdiness in me especially about history," Ferguson revealed.

While we'll let you discover just how nerdy Erica is, it's safe to say that the revelation about Lucas' little sister just made her cooler than just about anyone in Stranger Things (yes, even El).

Stranger Things 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.
