Stranger Things 4 Producer Shawn Levy Wants a Ryan Reynolds Cameo in the Final Season

After months of anticipation, the long-awaited fourth season of the critically-acclaimed series Stranger Things is now available to stream on Netflix. With Shawn Levy sitting as one of the producers, the fourth season follows the Hawkins crew's last dive into the Upside Down while dealing with the show's most menacing Villain, Vecna.

Recently, Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds were dominating the box office and the streaming service Netflix with projects like Free Guy and The Adam Project which were both lauded by the fans. Aside from Reynolds and Levy's success, it appears that the two have no plans to take a hiatus after Levy was reportedly tapped for Reynolds' upcoming Deadpool 3. And more recently, it looks like Levy also wants to include Reynolds in his latest series.

In a recent interview with THR, Stranger Things Season 4 producer Shawn Levy expressed interest in doing a crossover with Ryan Reynolds, who has been significant to his career following the duo’s consecutive blockbuster films.

"I want to see a Ryan Reynolds cameo in anything," Levy said. "The truth is, my career over the past half-decade has been defined by Stranger Things and my collaborations with Ryan, so it would be deeply trippy but satisfying to see my two worlds collide. So, Ryan Reynolds, get ready for season five."

While it's hard to distinguish whether Levy is actually serious about inviting Reynolds for a cameo for the show's finale, the idea isn't really unattainable at this point. Considering Reynolds and Levy's triumphant streaming success with Netflix's The Adam Project, the streaming service might consider Reynolds' appearance in the show's finale.

However, now that the show is approaching its monumental finale, the need to include Reynolds seems to be unnecessary for the plot. While the show's decision to include A Nightmare on Elm Street's Robert Englund as Victor Creel is doing very well, Levy and directors should be extra creative if they proceed with Reynolds’ inclusion in the show’s finale since the actor doesn’t have much history with horror flicks.

Nevertheless, if Reynolds won't appear in the Stranger Things finale just like Levy wanted to, fans won't have to wait for very long as Levy will certainly reunite with Reynolds for the fan-beloved Deadpool 3.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 is now available to stream on Netflix, while Volume 2 arrives on July 1.
