Stranger Things 4 Creators Totally Oppose Millie Bobby Brown's Game of Thrones Idea

After a month of anticipation, fans have finally witnessed the highly-anticipated conclusion of Stranger Things Season 4. Although Season 4's Volume Two wasn't as triumphant for the Hawkins gang compared to the previous seasons, it sets up a thrilling finale for the Netflix hit show.

Several stars along with showrunners spoke about the upcoming deaths prior to Volume Two's release, yet, it was only Eddie (Joseph Quinn) who faced an unfortunate fate at the season finale, and Max was severely impaired by the menacing Vecna, leaving her future in the show in jeopardy.

With the Stranger Things cast continuing to expand every time a new season gets released, Millie Bobby Brown thinks that it's time to kill off some of the major characters, just like in Game of Thrones.

In a previous interview, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown called the Duffer Brothers 'two sensitive Sallies' who are afraid of killing major characters. "Last night [at the season 4 premiere], we couldn’t even take one group picture because there were like 50 of us," Brown told TheWrap. "I was like, 'You need to start killing people off.' The Duffer brothers are two sensitive Sallies that don’t want to kill anyone off. We need to be Game of Thrones."

In a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via Gamesradar), the Duffer Brothers shared the perfect response to Brown's Game of Thrones criticism. "What did Millie call us? She said we were 'sensitive Sallies.' She’s hilarious. Believe us, we’ve explored all options in the writing room. Just as a complete hypothetical, if you kill Mike, that's depressing. We aren’t Game of Thrones. This is Hawkins, it’s not Westeros. The show becomes not Stranger Things anymore because you do have to treat it realistically, right?"

Stranger Things is widely known for killing beloved characters they've introduced in a single season and exactly followed the same pattern for Season 4. Brown's idea to kill major characters would extremely be disheartening but also makes sense for the plot. Nevertheless, the Duffer Brothers hint that Season 5 intends to be an emotional finale for the show, which means that Brown’s wish regarding character deaths could still be granted.
