Stranger Things 4 Chilling Theory Suggests That The School Counselor is Helping Vecna

After three long years of anticipation, Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 is finally available to binge on Netflix. The fourth season follows the Hawkins gang's latest dive into the Upside Down, where the show's most horrifying villain named Vecna lives. However, fans seem to think that there’s an undercover villain in the show, and that is no other than the school counselor Ms. Kelly.

As the show progresses, it was shockingly disclosed that Vecna's real identity was Henry Creel, the son of Victor Creel, who was falsely convicted of murdering his own family. It was also revealed that Henry is behind his own family's murder, and somehow framed up his father. Volume 1's conclusion sheds some light on Henry's whole backstory, how he is the first subject of the Russian-government project, and how he decided to kill every single one of them when he broke out Eleven out of the facility.

Now, going back to the school counselor Ms. Kelly, fans seemingly found a connection with how everyone who sees the school counselor faced a tragic fate in the hands of Vecna. Both Vecna's first victims Chrissy the cheerleader and Fred the journalist saw Ms. Kelly just before they were slaughtered by the villain. However, when Max attempted to talk about Chrissy and Fred, the counselor denies and cited student privacy.

For fans who have seen the fourth season of the series, it was unveiled that Vecna preys on people who have gone through something traumatic and Ms. Kelly must have realized that Fred and Chrissy are the perfect new prey for the horrifying villain, which somehow explains their death.

Here's the eeriest part, during the scene when Max was talking with Ms. Kelly, a clock was loudly ticking in the background. The necklace the school counselor was also wearing is a clock key with a timepiece face, which might fit in the evil grandfather clock in the Creel House that occurs every time Vecna has another victim to slay.

Although this theory seems to be far-fetched, it would totally make sense how everyone who sees Ms. Kelly faces demise. Could this be the Duffer Brothers' way of misleading the fans, or the audience might just have predicted another upcoming twist?

Ms. Kelly's involvement with Vecna would surely unfold when Volume 2 arrives on July 1. Meanwhile, Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 is now available to stream on Netflix.
