Stranger Things Season 3 Star Identifies The American In Post-Credits Scene

We all have our own theories on who the Russians were referring to as "the American" in the post-credits scene in the Stranger Things Season 3 finale. However, it looks like one of the stars of the Netflix series has decided to confirm who was in the bunker to put an end on all the speculations.

David Harbour recently spoke to Slashfilm about what happened after all the credits rolled in the third season's final episode. Although the reporter was trying to avoid asking for direct spoilers, the Hellboy star pretty much confirmed that we haven't seen the last of Jim Hopper.

"Well, did you see the post-credits scene?" he asked the reporter before giving more details. Harbour explained that the Big Bad Russian in Season 3 kept referring to Hopper as "the American" so it's not a huge stretch if another Russian does the same thing.

This is certainly good news for fans who are hoping that Hopper is still alive although we're not quite sure if he's doing well. After all, it was heartbreaking to see Eleven mourn for her adoptive dad. We're certainly crossing our fingers and looking forward to Hopper being reunited with El in Stranger Things Season 4.

Although it's good to know that Hopper has survived, there's still a major problem to deal with. The base where the Russians took him is located in a remote part of Russia so it might be hard for him to find a way back to Hawkins. Let's just hope Hopper figures something out soon.

Stranger Things Season 3 is still streaming on Netflix.
