Stranger Things 3: Did Post-Credits Scene Confirm [SPOILERS] Is Still Alive?

People are understandably shocked over the conclusion of Stranger Things Season 3 but that doesn't mean there is hope in the end. The season finale actually had a post-credits scene that may have confirmed one character isn't completely gone.

WARNING: The following contains Stranger Things 3 spoilers. Proceed with caution.

In the season finale Chapter Eight: The Battle of Starcourt, Jim Hopper sacrifices himself so Joyce Byers can effectively close the portal to the Upside Down. Although it is suggested that Hopper died when the Russians' machine exploded, his body nor the bodies of the Russians were nowhere in sight. Nevertheless, everyone seem to have accepted that Hopper is gone and are trying to move on with their lives three months after the incident.

But is Hopper really dead? The post-credits scene of the episode takes us to a base in Kamchatka, Russia where two guards are preparing to retrieve a prisoner. "No, not the American," one of them says and the other immediately takes a Russian prisoner instead. It is then revealed that the prisoner was fed to a Demogorgon.

First of all, it's terrifying to think that the Russians are still experimenting with whatever they found in the Upside Down and have now gotten their hands on a Demogorgon. Secondly, who is the American they are referring to?

Not surprisingly, some people believe that the Russians have taken Hopper and are keeping him prisoner in the base. Though it is unclear why they would keep him alive, fans are hoping that Hopper will find his way back home in Stranger Things Season 4.

Do you think the Russians have Jim Hopper? Let us know in the comments below.
