Star Wars: Yellowjackets Actor Opens Up About Failed Rey Audition


Courtney Eaton is already making a name for herself as the young Lottie in Yellowjackets. However, she actually auditioned and almost played Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Courtney Eaton Talks About Losing Major Star Wars Role To Daisy Ridley

We already know that Daisy Ridley won the coveted role of Rey in the Star Wars sequels. However, Courtney Eaton has revealed to SlashFilm that she had auditioned and was almost cast in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

"I was up for the Star Wars role that Daisy Ridley ended up doing," Eaton revealed. "It was an intense scene, but I wasn't getting it, and I was getting really frustrated with myself."

She then shared how she attempted and ultimately failed to nab the role.

"It was a test with the costume director and J. J. Abrams, so essentially I ended up getting so worked up that I had a panic attack and ruined my audition," Eaton said.

It's unfortunate that things didn't work out for Courtney Eaton with Star Wars. Still, her career has been doing great since the failed audition.

Eaton landed the role of Cheedo the Fragile, one of the Five Wives in Mad Max: Fury Road which premiered on the same year as The Force Awakens. She later appeared in films like Gods of Egypt and Line of Duty.

Courtney Eaton's most important role to date is in Yellowjackets where she plays the young Lottie. The series has proven to be a huge success and although she only had a recurring role in the first season, Eaton has since been promoted to a series regular in Season 2.

Yellowjackets Season 2 recently concluded with a shocking season finale that has kept fans wondering about the future. Luckily, the series has already been renewed for a third season.

Yellowjackets Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date.
