Star Wars x Mike Mitchell Portraits Deliver the Feels for Old & New Characters

Star Wars merchandise is something every fan and collector will always have room for. And if you're one of them, you may want to get ready for a new collection in the form of Mike Mitchell's Mondo Star Wars portraits.

IGN has revealed a series of these portraits, all of which have been signed and numbered. According to the report, these prints will be part of the showcase at the SXSW on March 10, Friday, specifically for the Mondo's Star Wars x Mike Mitchell show.

The series will have a new Obi Wan Kenobi print, seen below. It will also be put up a day earlier on the website mondotees.com, and available for purchase at $60. The offer will be available from March 9 until March 12.

The Obi Wan Kenobi prints will be signed and hand-numbered on a 12"x16" Giclee print. Technically, it's part of the 40th anniversary for the Star Wars franchise, and as such, fan can also expect prints and posters that hark back to the earlier movies.

Among the portraits is another image revealed to A.V. Club. This figure features the Imperial TIE fighter pilot. It has the same details for purchase as the one from Obi Wan Kenobi. The TIE fighter pilot looks very much a badass among the little people in the franchise—almost like a steam punk character in a gas mask, ready for insane action.

This isn't the first time or the first franchise that Mondo has created tribute posters for in pop culture. But for this particular series, you can see the profile portraits of the likes of Han Solo, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, and Boba Fett, the new characters Kylo Ren and Rey, and even the grunt soldiers like an AT-AT driver and Red Five.
