Star Wars: Watch Ewan McGregor Declare How Much He Loves Playing Obi-Wan Kenobi

If you ever had your doubts that Ewan McGregor wasn't interested in returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi, an awesome video is here to soothe you. The video features the Trainspotting star declaring how much he loves working on a Star Wars project.

The video is actually a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Phantom Menace where McGregor is shooting an action sequence with Liam Neeson and Ray Park. However, it has been shared on Twitter in celebration of McGregor confirming his return in the Obi-Wan series and boy, is he enthusiastic about doing a Star Wars movie.

In the video, McGregor is the first to fall followed by Park. Once the scene is cut, he immediately turns to the man closest to him and says, "'Do you want to do a Star Wars they said', I said, too f--ing right," before happily skipping away.

That energy is certainly infectious and we're hoping that McGregor still feels the same way up to this day. Well, considering that he's just agreed to do an Obi-Wan series, it's safe to say he'll be skipping to work again soon.

McGregor's return as Obi-Wan was previously reported earlier this month although people were understandably wary about the news. After all, we've all been burned when we believed that an Obi-Wan movie would happen only for the project to be cancelled. Luckily, McGregor attended D23 Expo 2019 to confirm that he'll "do a Star Wars" again.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series has not yet been given an official release date. However, the scripts have already been completed and McGregor will begin working on the Disney+ show by 2020.
