Star Wars TROS: New Character Posters for Rey and Supreme Leader Kylo

The media push for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to start with Triple Force Friday by the end of the week, and just in we have some new character posters with heroes for both the Light and the Dark, Rey and Supreme Leader Kylo Ren.

Check them out:

Admittedly the two have managed to keep the same look for their costumes throughout the entire Sequel Trilogy with only a minimal amount of changes. Rey's outfit still pretty much looks like her Jakku garb, but only this time it's a more bright white.

Kylo, on the other hand, has fixed his old helmet, but it has this red kintsugi pattern all over it. He's also keeping the cape, but this time around, it has a big hood at the end.

While I'm loving the looks of the characters, I was kind of hoping that they got a bit more variation when it came to their outfits—just like the characters in the Original Trilogy. I kind of wanted the two characters to have a reversal of themes, with Rey wearing a black suit similar to Luke's Return of the Jedi outfit and Supreme Leader Kylo going all white for his "ruler" look.

If anything, the closest we got to Rey wearing something else is the "dark" vision of her. Maybe Kylo has the same kind of vision where he faces the Light side of himself.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it hits theaters Dec. 20.
