Star Wars Theory Pits The Mandalorian Against Boba Fett in Season 2 Ultimate Showdown

Boba Fett might be one of the most popular bounty hunters in Star Wars history, however, there's a new theory going around suggesting that the clone of Jango Fett may end up becoming the big bad in Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

There have been quite a number of fans clamoring to see Boba Fett in The Mandalorian. Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) might be a major hit together with the adorable doe-eyed Baby Yoda, but there are fans hoping that Mando might find himself face to face with Star Wars' greatest bounty hunter.

It wouldn't be that difficult for Jon Favreau to write Boba Fett into the series – the scoundrel could end up being employed by Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) to take Baby Yoda for further experimentation.

A brand new fan theory by Screen Rant tries to take it further. According to the entertainment news outlet, Favreau could turn Boba Fett into a major villain in The Mandalorian. While it's natural to think of Boba Fett as a villain when he's after The Child, Screen Rant believes that a fight between Mando and Boba Fett would be an epic Star Wars showdown that fans would love to see.

Both Mando and Fett have had experience fighting with Mandalorian armor, and we've yet to see a Mandalorian fight against another Mandalorian in a live-action series. Lucasfilm didn't give Boba Fett hat much action sequences in the original trilogy, so having the character fight with Din Djarin would definitely rile up the Star Wars fanbase.

What do you think? Should Lucasfilm turn Boba Fett into one of the main villains of The Mandalorian? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
