Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: Sizzle Reel from SWCC 2019 Leaks Online

While we did get the reveal of the first teaser for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in Celebration 2019 last weekend, we didn't get to have a look at a BTS reel that was screened during the panel as well. Good for us though, because Star Wars Scenes from Youtube has leaked the video online.

Check it out:

The video doesn't so much just focus on Episode IX, but rather on the main Skywalker saga as a whole. The clip starts off with a blooper reel from A New Hope then plays on to give us shots from the all three trilogies, original, prequel, and sequel. Everything caps off with some new BTS shots from The Rise of Skywalker.

No doubt Lucasfilm will probably release this online at some point, but we don't have any idea when. For now, only two main teasers have managed to come out of SWCC 2019, the preview for The Rise of Skywalker as well as our first look at EA's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. I guess they also screened some footage from the final season of The Clone Wars, but you'll just have to sift through the whole panel to get to it. A lot of fans are also waiting on Lucasfilm to release the first look at Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian online.

Going back to Episode IX though, I'm hoping that J.J. Abrams manages to cap off the story of nine movies without feeling too caught up with what came before. I mean, I like Palpatine's return and all, but I was kind of happy with TLJ ditching "legacies" and allowing Rey to forge her own path and her own story. I don't want the sequel trilogy to end up being one last retcon.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters Dec. 20.
