Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: Daisy Ridley Does NOT Support Reylo

One of the most popular pairings to come out of the Star Wars sequel trilogy is the romance between Kylo Ren and Rey, and all over the internet you can find several supporters of "Reylo." Daisy Ridley herself was asked what she thought of the pairing, and she says it's something she can't really get behind.

Talking to Steele Wars, Ridley explains:

"I do know about Reylo. I don't know how I feel about it because everyone's talking about like the toxic thing about relationships, when it's like, it's essentially emotional. It's a tricky road. I do feel like deep down Kylo thinks what he's doing is right and he doesn't think he's wrong, but he has also killed so many people, I can't really get behind it… in a personal way."

Ridley doesn't think that it's all totally gone for Kylo though, as she says that the character still has some room for redemption. Then again, we still can't tell if The Rise of Skywalker will explore on that or not.

For now, it seems that Kylo's role is going to be a big mystery for the film. Celebration 2019 did have celebrity appearances but mostly for Resistance members. We have no idea what's going on with Kylo Ren or even General Hux. So far, the only villain we've met at the panel is Palpatine, and it's still unclear what kind of involvement he has in the story.

For now, all we can do is wait for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to hit theaters Dec. 20.
