We're roughly two months away till the premiere of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and leaks regarding a trailer release and ticket sales are going out. And now, it seems like fans will be able to know the supposed runtime for the upcoming movie from a leak on Reddit.

The said runtime was leaked by Redditor HopeLivesInTheGalaxy, it seems like the user got an opportunity to check out Cinemark's database which includes the movie's alleged running time. You can check out the post here.

The photo shows that The Rise of Skywalker would run for 155 minutes or 2 hours and 35 minutes. And if this were true, the movie would be the longest film in the series, beating Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi which ran for 2 hours and 32 minutes. The leak from Cinemark's database is possible since the epic conclusion of the trilogy would be within Episode IX and it would need time to answer a lot of questions that exist in the trilogy. Of course, this would also be a good opportunity to explain some things that weren't touched upon from the last movies, to which Star Wars fans expect.

If you aren't aware yet, before a running time is confirmed, an estimated runtime would be released exclusively to theaters so that distributors could plan out their schedules in accordance with the movie release. So the actual running time could either be longer or shorter than what is initially given. Plus, this isn't confirmed yet and changes would ensue as we get near the release.

It would make sense that the last movie of the trilogy would be the longest one though. However, the actual running time for the movie is yet to be announced so we advise you to take this rumor with a grain of salt.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
