Star Wars: Episode IX Ticket Sales Date Reportedly Leaked

Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to this month. Not only are we expecting the first full trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in the next two weeks, but there's a new leak saying that ticket sales for the movie may begin soon too.

John Boyega's agent just recently confirmed that Lucasfilm is planning to release the very first full trailer for The Rise of Skywalker during ESPN's Monday Night Football game next week, on October 14. Now, according to a new leak going around on Reddit, the studio is most likely to begin the film's ticket sales on October 21, a date coinciding with yet another Monday Night Football game for ESPN.

According to the post made by Redditor u/whatjanesays, this set-up follows the same pattern as the other Star Wars films that Lucasfilm has released under Disney with a new trailer premiering during Monday Night Football and then ticket sales going up soon after.

The Redditor also says that the studio is also most likely going to release a new teaser or ad (though without any new footage) on October 18 or 19 to help hype up the ticket sales announcement.

It's an interesting report, one that fits the pattern of the ticket sales and trailer releases of previous Star Wars movies. However, as with any rumor, we advise fans to take this tidbit with a grain of salt. We can't really be sure about anything until we get some sort of confirmation from Lucasfilm. Let's just cross our fingers and wait and see.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
