Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker May See Jedi Being Replaced By Skywalkers

While most Star Wars fans have been assuming that Star Wars: Episode IX's official title The Rise Of Skywalker has been pointing at the potential retcon of Rey's (Daisy Ridley) parentage, others believe that the title might actually refer to a new term for Jedi.

According to ComicBook.com, it's possible that The Rise of Skywalker may not mean one particular character in the upcoming Star Wars film (be it Mark Hamill's Luke or the late Carrie Fisher's Leia or even Rey), but instead the age of a new form of Jedi.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi showed the Jedi Order at the very brink of extinction, with only two known Jedi left fighting against the First Order. Luke even actively campaigned for the end of the order, saying time and time again that it was time for the Jedi to end. Now, as The Rise of Skywalker slowly approaches its release, it's hard not to wonder whether or not Episode IX would rejuvenate the Jedi order, this time giving the group the name Skywalker.

What better way to give to the new group of Force Users that come out to fight for the light than the legendary Skywalker name, right?

Of course, this is all just a theory, but it's a theory that not only makes a whole lot of sense, it also keeps the continuity and adds on to what The Last Jedi built instead of tearing it down.
