While there is already a lot to process about the movie itself, there's more and more information slowly getting revealed about The Rise of Skywalker. And with the release of the movie's visual dictionary, a fan-favorite character is now officially canon.

It is already known that Episode IX will be featuring Sith Troopers. In the official Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary, it was revealed that Emperor Palpatine's legions of these Sith Troopers who are all part of the Final Order are actually named after a specific Sith Lord. These legions are separated into 5,000 troopers, and one of them is actually a surprise to the fans. The third legion is named Revan Legion, which is essentially named after Darth Revan, making the character finally canon in Star Wars.

It is stated in the visual dictionary that only the "Sith Eternal cultists know the significance" of these Sith Lord names. And while Darth Revan is already canon in Episode IX, Star Wars are yet to learn more about him.

Revan was the main character of the Knights of the Old Republic video game. He also started out as a promising Padawan under Jedi Master Kreia but was pushed to action in Chronicles of the Old Republic because of the council's non-response in the war between the Galactic Republic and the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders.

Aside from Revan, the other Sith Lords mentioned are Andeddu, Tanis, Tenebrous, Phobos, and Desolous.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now showing in theaters.
