There's only a few weeks away until we finally get to see the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga with The Rise of Skywalker's debut. However, Star Wars fans are still curious if they'd ever get to know more of Snoke's past in the movie. But a new Episode IX leak suggests that we'd finally get an answer and it reveals a surprising truth behind the Supreme Leader's identity.
THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.
The leak comes from Jason Ward of Making Star Wars. Ward's most recent report details on how Episode IX will tackle the mystery that enveloped Snoke throughout the sequel trilogy.
He claimed that a scene will show Kylo Ren landing on Exegol and passes a "giant floating cube." Upon arrival, Kylo Ren explores the place and finds small creatures that are inside of what seems to be "capsules" or "barrels." Ward said these are called The Relics.
What Kylo Ren sees in these barrels are quite weird and crazy. The body of Supreme Leader Snoke is inside, "killed and disposed of." However, these are all clones and that the barrels full of these bodies are too many to count. Ward said this scene will reveal that Snoke has always been a clone.
Ward pointed out that he doesn't know what this implies to the movie yet. However, this could suggest that Snoke was actually a puppet of Palpatine all along, or more accurately, a "proxy."
It's certainly interesting to know Abrams' take on Snoke's story and making it seem fitting, not just for the upcoming movie, but for the sequel trilogy in general. If this were true, this could actually be a chilling yet interesting scene that gives the fans an answer with regards to Snoke's identity.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20.
