The Rise of Skywalker will hit theaters in just a few weeks from now. Star Wars fans are excited to see director J.J. Abrams' take on the film and how he'd give a satisfying and epic conclusion to the Skywalker Saga. We don't know what fate lies ahead for our heroes yet. Especially for Kylo Ren, which got most fans curious about whether he'd turn to the Light Side or not. But actor Adam Driver gives us a tease on what to expect regarding his character's journey in Episode IX.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the actor reflected on The Rise of Skywalker as well as his time as the movie's antagonist. When asked about having a redemption arc in the film, Driver revealed that he and Abrams discussed doing this for his character earlier on. He claimed that what they decided on is something that will come into fruition in Episode IX.

"He's almost like a spoiled rich kid who has to evolve into something," Driver explained. He says Kylo will be following a path of finding out who he really is. The actor told the outlet that his character had to metaphorically, or in his case, literally, kill his father Han Solo to find out who he actually is, referring to a pivotal scene in The Force Awakens.

"To be your own person, at a certain point you have to claim it," he added. However, Driver stated the opposite as well, saying, "We never really figure out who we are."
