People are understandably excited about the digital release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker although there are no deleted scenes available. It's an interesting idea that some fans have suspected since a teaser hinted at Rey succumbing to the Dark Side of the Force. In addition to that, she was ready to agree to become the Empress because she wanted to save her friends from being killed by the villain.

So was it possible that Dark Rey would eventually become the Empress? It's a controversial idea but it seems unlikely considering that Rey was expected to become the symbol of hope at the end of the Skywalker Saga. Still, people can't help but wonder what would happen if Rey chose the Dark Side.

If you're hoping to catch up on what happened in The Rise of Skywalker, it is now possible to watch the film at home. It was previously reported that Episode IX has been made available on digital a few days before originally planned. Fans believe that Disney and Lucasfilm decided to release the film early due to the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19).
