The eighth episode of The Mandalorian's first season is finally here. Redemption is very fitting as the season's final episode, especially since there were a lot of questions answered and a whole lot of mysteries revealed, one of which is Mando's name.

One of the many mysteries that envelopes the show is Pedro Pascal's character name. He was always referred to as Mando, or, simply, the Mandalorian, in the entirety of the series, but all that changed in the final episode.
Moff Gideon revealed that Mando's name is actually Din Djarin. In addition, this episode finally showed Mando's face as well, because he removed his helmet for only a brief moment. That being said, Pascal actually made this name-drop in a previous interview. However, it wasn't clear if he made the revelation of the character's name on purpose. Besides, even though some fans knew his name, they weren't actually sure of the real spelling. But with the credits shown on the last episode, people can now properly use the character's name.
It is already known that the Mandalorian's name was kept as a secret all throughout the first season because it adds to the secrecy of his character, which matches well with Baby Yoda's. This is certainly one of the main things that kept the audience hooked into watching the show. Both main characters have a shroud of mystery within them, but as the show progresses, with the addition of the upcoming second season, there will surely be more revelations.
Aside from Mando's real name, this episode also revealed that Cara Dune is actually from Alderaan and that Greef Carga was initially a magistrate who eventually became a bounty hunter.
