Star Wars: The Mandalorian's Jon Favreau Shares Adorable Sketch From Dave Filoni

Jon Favreau is discovering the many perks of being a part of the Star Wars Universe. The creator of The Mandalorian has just shared an awesome sketch made for him by Star Wars: The Clone Wars EP Dave Filoni.

Favreau shared Filoni's illustration on his official Instagram account. According to the Lion King director, the Star Wars Rebels executive producer created the sketch during one of their meetings. Take a look at the image below.

"The cool thing about sitting next to #DaveFiloni in a meeting is that sometimes you get to keep a doodle," Favreau wrote. The sketch features what looks like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings sitting on a log beside Yoda.

It's an adorable doodle and we can't help but wonder what the meeting was about. Could it mean that Yoda is set for another major comeback in The Mandalorian? Is the Jedi Master getting his own Disney+ series as well? These are all just speculations but we're hoping something Yoda-related will be announced at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration.

There have been reports that The Mandalorian has actually wrapped production on the same day as Star Wars: Episode IX. If this is the case, it's possible that Favreau and Filoni were already discussing how to move forward with marketing the highly anticipated Star Wars series.

The synopsis for The Mandalorian reads as follows:

"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

The Mandalorian has not yet been given an official release date. However, the series is expected to premiere on Disney+ in late 2019.
