Star Wars' The Mandalorian Reveals New Character Posters

The Mandalorian is the main reason Star Wars fans are getting a Disney+ subscription and who could blame them? After all, this is the first live-action Star Wars series and it will explore much darker settings than what we've seen from the movies and animated shows. Now that Disney+ will be launching soon, LucasFilm and Disney have released some posters to get fans hyped up.

Giving us great looks at these new characters, it's great to see a focus on new characters. True, the current Star Wars trilogy has new heroes and villains like Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Rose Tico, and Kylo Ren but those films also have a lot of nostalgia in them, thanks to appearances from Luke Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine.

Honestly, these character posters are pretty cool, though they don't reveal much. At the least, we now have full-size views of the characters and their costumes, which should make for good cosplay inspiration. Come on guys, December is close and we're sure some of you are going to be characters from this series.

Fans will be happy to know that The Mandalorian will explore a post-Return of the Jedi timeline. While this isn't new territory to those familiar with the expanded universe, those that have only followed Star Wars since the Disney acquisition are probably only familiar with all of the Skywalker Saga unless they read the Marvel comics.

The Mandalorian debuts alongside Disney+ on November 12.
