Star Wars: The Mandalorian Episode 2 Confirms New Character's Awesome Powers

In case you missed it, the second episode of The Mandalorian has just been dropped and it has confirmed something that everyone has been thinking about since the premiere: That baby's got mad skills, yo.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers from The Mandalorian Season 1 Episode 2. Proceed with caution.

Chapter Two takes off immediately after the events in the first episode as the Mandalorian takes the target out of the facility. However, it isn't long before "The Child" begins displaying some mischievousness, sometimes crawling out of its crib (it's beginning to remind me of Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back).

Although the baby is prone to mischief, it also turns out to be quite powerful. At one point, the bounty hunter has to fight an alien that looks like a rhinoceros and the battle damages all of his firearms. Just when the gigantic alien is about to kill the Mandalorian, it suddenly begins to float as the baby uses the Force to stop it.

It's a powerful Force user but one that clearly needs to master its skills. The baby later loses consciousness from exerting too much effort. However, it does manage to save the Mandalorian, who finally makes it to his ship.

We already had the feeling that The Child would be Force-sensitive considering that both Yoda and Yaddle (the only other characters that share its species) are both Jedi Masters. Here's hoping that we'll get to see Baby Not-Yoda in action in the next few episodes.

The Mandalorian Season 1 Episode 2 is currently streaming on Disney+. The next episode Chapter Three will be released on November 22.
