Star Wars: The Last Jedi Won’t See More Than a Finn & Poe Bromance

To say that Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been a big show of force and difference in the Star Wars franchise is an understatement. We finally have ourselves a female lead who can actually fight, and even the female Captain Phasma.

And the film even confirmed the first possible gay couple in the form of Finn and Poe. The actors and JJ Abrams didn't discount the possibility, which has further spawned the fan discussions and theories.

However, don't expect there to be any tangible and obvious developments, because Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy did state that fans wouldn't get those moments in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Speaking in an interview, as translated by Uproxx, Kennedy said:

"We've talked about it, but I think you're not going to see it in The Last Jedi."

Even with this, perhaps the main important point is that Kennedy did state that the team is listening to fans' theories, citing them as more than just viewers in the case of the saga.

Kennedy added that these theories are what breed new ideas for the team to listen and even pay attention to. With the rich history and vast expanse of the Star Wars lore, sometimes the imagination of fans go a long way.

For now, we'll have to see where the story develops when Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be out in theaters this Christmas season.
