Lucasfilm and Disney surprisingly announced the continuation of Star Wars: Tales in a new perspective. If Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi focused on Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, Star Wars: Tales of the Empire will feature Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee in the lead, and its seven cast members are now revealed.

Tales of the Empire will serve as the series' second season and a sequel to Tales of the Jedi. It’s set to explore the Galactic Empire era through the eyes of Elsbeth and Offee as they go on a journey that will tell their stories in different timelines.

The six-episode series will be divided into two arcs, with one following Nightsister Elsbeth and the other following the former Jedi Offee.

The cast of Star Wars: Tales of the Empire

Star Wars has revealed the official cast members of Tales of the Empire, and a few live-action stars are set to lend their voices to the animated series.

After seeing her in Ahsoka and The Mandalorian, Diane Lee Inosantoi is back as Elsbeth in a never-before-seen side of her story.

In this new show, fans are about to see how she met Grand Admiral Thrawn and became his close ally.

Talking about Thrawn, Lars Mikkelsen will again be heard as the Imperial officer.

After his first on-screen introduction in Star Wars: Rebels and in live-action on Ahsoka, one of Star Wars’ biggest villains will return to continue his hunt for the Jedi.

Elsewhere, Rya Kihlstedt will make a major comeback as Fourth Sister. The character is first introduced in Star Wars: Adventures: Return of Vader’s Castle comic series and seen onscreen in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Little is only known about Rya. So, aside from being a former Jedi named Lyn, her backstory may be finally explored in Tales of the Empire.

In addition, former Disney Imagineer Wing T. Chai will return to the fold as Governor Wing.

The human male only made brief appearances in the franchise, with the first being in The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5. So, fans can expect to see more of Wing this time.

Another returning star is Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actor Meredith Salenger. She will return to voice Offee.

After the character feuds with Ahsoka, her fate will be explored in the new Disney+ series.

Jason Isaacs will once again lend his voice to The Grand Inquisitor. Though the villain has died in Star Wars: Rebels Season 1, Tales of the Empire will feature the events that transpired before his demise.

Lastly, Matthew Wood will return as Grand Grievous. Though Wood is famously known for supervising the sound editor of Tales of the Jedi and Obi-Wan Kenobi, he will once again be the voice of the fan-favourite lightsaber collector.

Tales of the Empire will feature previously untold events in the lives of Elsbeth and Offee. Fans will see how a young Elsbeth navigates the Imperial world while Offee moves to survive the changing galaxy.

The series is set to be released on Disney+ on May 4, 2024.
