Star Wars: The Clone Wars Still Has Many Unfinished Episodes

Star Wars: The Clone Wars may have finally come to an end after the seventh season of the series released on Disney+ this year, however, there are still a lot of untold stories in the popular Star Wars animated series that fans are hoping to see.

According to Comicbook.com, though The Clone Wars may have technically come to an end, there are fans who are still holding on to the hope that Lucasfilm will complete the miss chapters of the series. There are many stories that have been missing even before the series was originally cancelled in 2014.

The entertainment news outlet lists some of the story arcs that didn't get the opportunity to have episodes on the series. It includes the Crystal Crisis on Utapau, the Dark Disciple, Son of Dathomir, Bounty Hunters, Kashyyyk, Rex and R2's Top Gun Teamup, Return to Mon Cala, and Yuuzhan Vong.

That's a considerable number of arcs, and according to the site, these could provide material for up to 40 new episodes of the show.

Unfortunately, as much as fans would want to see these additional episodes of The Clone Wars, producer Dave Filoni says that it probably will never materialize.

"I don't know. Personally for me, probably not," Filoni said in a previous interview when asked whether there would be future episodes of the series, "I have a lot of things I'm excited that we're doing looking forward. I think it's hard because I so appreciate the fan support, and I appreciate just how excited everybody was that we were back. I understand them wanting more and more episodes. The people that worked on it — myself and the team, basically all the leads — they were on the original run and I think it shows. We're really thankful we got to finish it. But I also think creatively, you always want to move forward."

It seems like Filoni is moving on. We'll just have to wait and see whether the Clone Wars producer will ever revisit these untouched stories.
