Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Just Confirmed Siege of Mandalore Happens During Revenge of the Sith

We already know that the Siege of Mandalore is happening in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7. However, the latest episode of the animated series also confirmed that the battle was actually happening at the same time as the events in Revenge of the Sith.

In Old Friends, Not Forgotten, Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan Kryze reach out to Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker hoping to get help in the fight against Darth Maul. It's a loaded proposal for Obi-Wan especially when Bo-Katan points out that he could avenge her sister Duchess Satine, who was murdered by Maul. Interestingly, this could have happened easily and it would have been awesome to see Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka working together in the Siege of Mandalore. However, Obi-Wan leaves it up to the Jedi Council to make the decision.

Sadly, it isn't meant to be as they learn that Palpatine has been kidnapped by the Separatists, leading to Obi-Wan and Anakin having to leave for Coruscant. Of course, we already know what happens next as it is depicted in Revenge of the Sith. In addition to that, this confirms that the Siege of Mandalore is already happening while the Jedi are trying to save Palpatine from General Grievous.

Unfortunately, this could mean we won't see more of Obi-Wan and Anakin in the rest of the Season 7 episodes. On the other hand, we're already looking forward to the Siege of Mandalore.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 9 is currently streaming on Disney+.
