Darth Maul's Trap in The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 9 Could Lead to Another Epic Obi-Wan Kenobi Fight

The latest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 may have given us several welcome reunions (and one unfortunate one) but could it also mean that two characters will finally get to see each other again next week? There are speculations that although Darth Maul's trap failed in Old Friends, Not Forgotten, there's a chance that he could soon get yet another epic fight against Obi-Wan Kenobi.

In The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 9, Ahsoka Tano finally reunited with Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker for the first time since she chose to leave the Jedi Order. This isn't a joyful reunion: Ahsoka is asking for help to get Maul out of Mandalore and the two Jedi are being sent to Coruscant where Separatists are attacking. This means Ahsoka will have to deal with Maul on her own, albeit with the help of Captain Rex and some members of the 501st.

At first, it looks like things are working out for Ahsoka, Rex, and Bo-Katan Kryze. This is until Ahsoka follows a trail into the tunnels and falls into Maul's trap that was intended for Obi-Wan.

It's easy to see that this isn't going to be a pleasant reunion for Ahsoka and Maul but some think that the villain could use it to his advantage. There is a possibility that he will once again try to get Obi-Wan to go to Mandalore so they could fight yet again. Perhaps we'll have to wait until next week to find out if this happens.
