Star Wars: The Clone Wars Possibly Teased Dash Rendar Spin-Off

There's a lot of things that we learned from the latest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7. For instance, it was confirmed that Darth Maul was already preparing for the rise of the Empire during the Clone Wars. In addition to that, there might be plans to make Dash Rendar canon all over again. The surprise appearance of a character from Shadows of the Empire may have confirmed this.

In The Phantom Apprentice, Maul decided to let Gar Saxon and his Mandalorian forces to fend for himself as he realized that Darth Sidious is close to taking down the Republic. He then called on the members of his Shadow Collective so they can prepare for the impending chaos. Interestingly, one of the members of the Collective just happens to be Prince Xizor of the Black Sun.

Now that's a face that Star Wars fans will never forget. Prince Xizor was one of the major antagonists in Shadows of the Empire and his appearance in The Clone Wars already has people wondering if this could lead to a new project focusing on Dash. After all, the character has already been made canon (sort of) in a Solo: A Star Wars Story picture book. However, this has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

The latest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 confirmed that the Siege of Mandalore took place during the events in Revenge of the Sith. The Phantom Apprentice is currently streaming on Disney+.
