Star Wars: The Clone Wars EP Shares Emotional Sketch Depicting Anakin and Ahsoka's Reunion

One of the best things about the latest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 was the reunion between Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. After all, it has been several years (or at least two seasons) since we last saw Snips with her former master. To commemorate the emotional moment, executive producer Dave Filoni has shared an amazing sketch featuring the two beloved Star Wars characters.

Filoni posted the illustration on his official Instagram account. Check it out below.

The reunion between Anakin and Ahsoka was caused by an important mission. Ahsoka and Bo-Katan Kryze had reached out to her former master and his own master in hopes of getting assistance from the Republic in taking Mandalore back from Darth Maul. Although Bo-Katan initially wanted Obi-Wan to join them so he could avenge the death of her sister Duchess Satine, the Jedi chose to ask the Jedi Council to decide for them. This gave Anakin and Ahsoka some time to catch up on things.

What makes this reunion even more emotional is the fact that this will be the last time Ahsoka will see Anakin as himself. In their next meeting, Anakin is already Darth Vader and the two would go up against each other. Needless to say, it's a brief reunion that we wished would have lasted a little longer.

The next episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 is expected to depict the start of the Siege of Mandalore. In the meantime, you can still stream the current episode Old Friends, Not Forgotten on Disney+.
