Star Wars: The Clone Wars Clip Has Anakin and Rex Tangling With Winged Reptiles

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 has only released one episode thus far and fans are already hailing it as the series they've always known and loved. While a lot of people want to see connections to Revenge of the Sith, The Clone Wars was always at its strongest when it was an anthology and focusing on the, well, clones. The second episode, called A Distant Echo, has fan-favorite clone Rex and Anakin Skywalker tangle with winged lizards.

Are they dragons? I would love to call them dragons. Star Wars isn't a franchise that needs them but it would still be pretty cool.

The clip sees Anakin with Rex's squad, along with the Bad Batch from the last episode, as they are intercepted by the people on this planet. Apparently, said people worship the winged reptiles that totally aren't dragons and they later kidnap Anakin as he tries to be peaceful. The clip ends with one of the clones attempting to rescue Anakin in a pretty cool scene, which should make for a cool sequence.

We're sure there's more than meets the eye when it comes to this scene so don't expect those weird lizard-worshipping people to be completely bad. Knowing the people who make this show, this will probably be a pretty cool episode. Plus, it's always nice seeing Anakin actually be a hero before he, you know, kills everyone in his path.
