Star Wars' Dave Filoni Teases The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith Connection

Fans were already more than happy to see Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 happen since many had already given up on this show getting a proper revival. Thanks to the magic of fans and Disney+, we now have another season of this acclaimed animated series and it might just be the most important one yet. The Clone Wars was meant to bridge Attack of the Clones with Revenge of the Sith, while also showing us a more heroic version of Anakin before he becomes Darth Vader.

However, ever since Mace Windu uttered a line he said in Revenge of the Sith in a trailer of The Clone Wars, many fans wondered if we would actually see this series crossover with the best film in the prequel trilogy. Producer Dave Filoni spoke with io9 about this possibility and gave us the biggest tease without actually revealing anything. What a Jedi.

"Yeah, I won't say a lot about [that]. I definitely will say that I don't think Mace is a person [who] repeats himself."

While the final season of The Clone Wars won't focus on Anakin, Obi-Wan, or even Padme too much, we doubt that this season will completely ignore them. Since this is the actual end of the series, we're almost guaranteed some kind of crossover between it and Revenge of the Sith. We obviously won't get an animated version of that epic Obi-Wan/Anakin fight but seeing Ahsoka's reaction to these events should be great.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars has already begun on Disney+ and will keep the weekly episode release that made The Mandalorian such a hit.
