The release date of the upcoming Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 has finally been revealed by Disney+. The second season of The Bad Batch will be arriving on the streaming platform on September 28, according to the banner on the Disney+ homepage.

We’ve known for quite a while that Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is set to be released this fall, however, “fall” is a pretty wide window of time. Now we finally have the specific release date, and even though it’s still a few months away, this release date confirms that we will be having Star Wars TV content running from now until fall!

You can find the banner of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 in the content scroll bar at the top of the Disney+ home screen. The latest The Bad Batch Season 2 trailer gave the fans a glimpse of how the newly formed Clone Force 99 (with the addition of young Omega who finally came into her own) is starting to go from being hunted by the newly-formed Empire to becoming something of an early rebel cell.

From the looks of the trailer, the action and adventure will be even bigger than in Season 1, and we know that there will be a time-jump that places the upcoming series and the events that happen later on in “Rise of the Empire” era of the Star Wars timeline.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 will be featuring the voice of Dee Bradley Baker as the Bad Batch and Michelle Ang as Omega. The show is executive produced by Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian), Brad Rau (Star Wars Resistance, Star Wars Rebels), Jennifer Corbett (NCIS, Star Wars Resistance), Athena Portillo (Star War Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), and Carrie Beck (Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian). Alex Spotswood (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Josh Rimes (Star Wars Resistance) will serve as the producers of the show.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is set to be released on Disney+ on September 28, 2022.
