Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 6 Revisits Wookiees on Kashyyyk

It's finally time for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 6 and this week brought us on an epic trip to Kashyyyk. In Tribe, fans finally caught up with the Jedi youngling Gungi as he teamed up with Clone Force 99 to find the other Wookiees after the Galactic Empire took over.

In The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 6, Clone Force 99 meets with the Vanguard Axis to deliver chain codes. Early on, Omega is uneasy about the meeting and she soon realizes that the cartel had captured a young Wookiee. She immediately helps him and as the rest of the team joins in to protect the children, it is revealed that Gungi may have been captured because he is a Jedi youngling.

Luckily, the team escapes with the terrified Gungi and they learn that he is trying to go to Kashyyyk to find other Wookiees. Omega urges her brothers to bring Gungi back to his home planet but when they arrive, they come across a village that has been razed by Trandoshans with Imperial equipment.

When they realize that the Trandoshans have captured a Wookiee, Gungi springs into action and the team quickly join in. They manage to defeat the Trandoshans and release the captive Wookiee, who calls on his companions that takes them in.

Although the Bad Batch earns the tribe's trust, the Trandoshans are determined to capture Gungi who is both a Wookiee and Jedi. With the help of the clones and the trees, they win the fight against the Imperial attackers. The episode concludes with Gungi being accepted into the tribe.

It's great to see that the inhabitants of Kashyyyk didn't give up so easily when the Empire tried to take over. It is also satisfying to know that Gungi found a new home after the horrors of Order 66.
