It's been over three years since Disney concluded the Star Wars sequel trilogy but it remains one of the most debated films in recent memory. Fans have gone back and forth over Episodes VII, VIII, and IX and while there are people who genuinely enjoyed them, the majority of the fandom believes it nearly killed the franchise.

There have been persistent rumors that Lucasfilm plans to make it up to the fans by removing the sequels from existence but that doesn't seem to be the case as the production company, with the help of artist Devin Schoeffler and Acme Archives has released new promotional material for The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker.

It's interesting why the franchise is releasing new stuff related to the sequels but I gotta say, these posters look incredible. Check them out here:

Speaking of the sequels, the polarizing trilogy is set to make its presence felt in the MandoVerse and according to the latest reports, Season 3 of The Mandalorian will see appearances from the Praetorian Guards, the crimson protectors of Supreme Leader Snoke in The Last Jedi. Babu Frik is also set to make her return in the third season of the hit Disney+ series which makes logical sense considering the show bridges the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

Of course, there's nothing the show can do to undo the questionable creative decisions made in the sequels and it definitely raises concern about whether or not the show will receive the same treatment now that it's entering a very familiar territory longtime fans don't want to relive. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The sequel trilogy is available to stream on Disney+.
