Star Wars Stunt Coordinator Says Adam Driver Did All of His Stunts for The Rise of Skywalker

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker might have ended up becoming one of the most divisive entries in the Star Wars franchise, however, the film had its moments, including some incredible action sequences between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

While it's pretty clear that Ridley and Driver trained extensively for their roles, it seems like the Marriage Story star did more stunts in Episode IX.

Speaking in an interview with Cinema Blend to take about the action sequences in The Rise of Skywalker, stunt coordinator Eunice Huthart was quick to offer Driver extra credit for his dedication in doing every stunt in the film. According to Huthart, the Oscar-nominated actor is just as good as any stuntman used in the Star Wars movie.

"If, for example, Kylo Ren got set on fire, there's not a chance in hell they'd ever let Adam Driver do it," the stunt coordinator explained in the discussion with the entertainment news outlet, "Adam's in a fortunate position because everything [necessary], the actor was capable to do. Adam's stunt double never got into costume, ever. He's as good as any stuntman, honestly."

Driver ended up forcing his stunt double to sit out his stunts on the bench because the actor insisted on taking every single stunt in Episode IX. Apparently, Driver wanted to take charge of the physicality of Kylo Ren, so he dedicated time and effort to work on every single stunt for the character.

This shouldn't be a surprise. Driver is known to take his work pretty seriously. It's just amazing to see how much dedication he has for the character.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is available on Blu-Ray, Digital HD, and DVD.
