One of the upcoming Star Wars projects that is currently on its way is Skeleton Crew, the Jude Law-starring live-action series that is set around the "MandoVerse" timeline. It is supposedly slated for release on Disney+ later this year.

However, due to the ongoing writers' and actors' strike, there have been questions about whether the series will still make it on its planned release window or if it will end up getting delayed like most MCU shows.

While filming already wrapped earlier this year, there's still a lot of post-production that needs to be done including potential reshoots and ADR work which actors are currently not allowed to do as part of the strike's rules.

Now, it looks like fans can expect a delay as a report has suggested that it unfortunately won't be able to make it on its planned release window after all.

According to a new report from Bespin Bulletin, the release of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew on Disney+ has now been delayed to 2024 as a result of the ongoing strikes in Hollywood.

Previously, the series was being eyed for release this November or December, but it is now unlikely to happen. Lucasfilm and Disney+ have not confirmed this report yet.

The report also added that the release schedule of the upcoming Star Wars shows is currently in flux and fluid due to the strikes which halted all major productions as actors and writers are not allowed to do any work.

A delay is also imminent for the other shows such as The Acolyte which is now unlikely to release on its planned Q2 2024 release window. Meanwhile, the second season of Andor might also not be able to make it on its planned August 2024 release and it will possibly move to 2025.

The fourth season of The Mandalorian, which is planned for release in 2025 and has not started production when the strikes commenced, is still being aimed to premiere that year.

This news comes in light of the recent announcement that all upcoming MCU shows (with the exception of the second season of Loki) are delaying their release as a result of the strikes.

There is no doubt that this is unfortunate news for fans who have been patiently for these upcoming shows to arrive and it really all comes down to whether the studios will finally agree on a fair deal with the actors and writers.

Hopefully, these labor disputes will be addressed very soon so that this will be the last time that we will ever hear about the delays.

For now, fans can still enjoy the release of Ahsoka with new episodes premiering every Tuesday night on Disney+.
